An Inspirational Fable: Two Frogs in Trouble
This meaningful and inspirational fable was told by Paramahansa Yogananda (*). It stresses the importance of hope, courage and perseverance, even in the
most daunting of circumstances.
The fable broadly goes as follows:
Two frogs accidentally jumped into a bucket half filled with milk.
They tried their best to climb out, but the sides
were too slippery, so their effort was in vain and they had to keep swimming.
One of the frogs lost hope and said, “I can’t swim any more". He gave up and drowned to the bottom.

The other did not lose hope and kept on swimming. His movements churned the milk into butter, and he could climb on to a pat of butter and hopped out of the bucket.
The book TWO FROGS IN TROUBLE based on a fable told by Paramahansa Yogananda (*), was written by Natalie Hale and illustrated by Susan Richards. Despite it is part of a series of inspirational children's books from Self-Realization Fellowship, this meaningful fable inspire people of all ages.
(*) Paramahansa Yogananda (1893-1952) was the first great master of Yoga who lived in the West. He was the founder of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, and Sef-Realization Fellowship in Los Angeles.
