Sparking our Creativity
Albert Einstein said: "The mind that opens to a new idea never returns to its original size."
We frequently interchange creativity and innovation, not understanding what distinguishes them. These are good definitions:
-CREATIVITY is the act of imagining something original. It is an experience.
-INNOVATION is the implementation of something new. It is practical.
We all have the ability to becoming more creative when we express ourselves creatively on a continuous basis. We frequently interchange creativity and innovation, not understanding what distinguishes them. These are good definitions:
-CREATIVITY is the act of imagining something original. It is an experience.
-INNOVATION is the implementation of something new. It is practical.
These are questions we can ask ourselves to spark our creativity:
-What could we LOOK AT, USE, MOVE ... or CONNECT in a new way?
- What could we CHANGE?
- What we could CREATE that is REALLY NEW?
This is a thoughtful quote by Henri Matisse (1869-1954), a very creative and innovative French artist:
“Creative people are curious, flexible, persistent and independent with a tremendous spirit of adventure and a love of play.”
Last but not least...
