This quote invites us for a reflection about the over-inflated ego. It  means that there are selfish people who value ego more than their relationships with others. Over-inflated ego does not only kill talent, it kills careers and it blocks success.

"Self-confidence is knowing our limits, and accepting them. Ego is knowing limits but not accepting them."  

In life, we don't win always. We must accept our failures, learn with them and move on.

Self-esteem and self-confidence are healthy, inflated ego is destructive because it forbids us to learn, and grow as individuals.
