MEDITATION for a happier life
MEDITATION is becoming one of the most popular practices in the modern world, because it is one of the most effective ways to find inner peace, relax, and cope with stress.
When we regularly practice meditation, smaller issues won't bother us as much as they used to bother before, because meditation helps us to remain tranquil, positive and peaceful.
There are different ways to meditate. The simplest and more popular one is to focus our mind on only one specific thing - it may be our own breathing, a body sensation or a particular object outside of us, and continually bring our attention back to that focal point when it wanders.
Scientific Study: A group of researchers of the Massachusetts General Hospital, published a study in an official publication of the International Society of Neuroimaging in Psychiatry, indicating that at the same time that meditation reduces the density of the gray mass of the brain's amygdala, it increases the density of the brain area called hippocampus, responsible for learning and memory, and associated to the well being, compassion and introspection.
