Inspiring Commitment - Inspirando Comprometimento

In our own lives, setting personal goals is a wise way of motivating ourselves to take actions towards our main life objectives. In any business, setting goals is also the right way to align employees' contribution to business strategy.

I
have observed in companies with a strong strategic alignment, it all
got started with all their employees having a good understanding and
buy-in of their strategy (vision, mission, and strategic plans). Than
their next steps were, building their different teams around their real
business, and aligning each individual team member goals to their
business strategy.

However, the alignment of goals is not enough. In addition companies must INSPIRE EMPLOYEES' COMMITMENT.
If companies build and develop motivation and insight, employees will
focus their energy in goals that really matter, and then they will be working
on the right stuff.
For engaging employees in this process, we need to recognize that individuals are essentially different, because they have different talents, competencies, expertise, and styles. We first need to give them a chance to express all their concerns, reservations, and expectations, so they will fell really motivated in offering their suggestions and recommendations.
.Vince Lombardi (1913-1970), a legendary American football coach, once said: "Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is."

Eu tenho observado em empresas com forte alinhamento estratΓ©gico, que elas comeΓ§aram tudo a partir
da boa compreenΓ§Γ£o e aceitaΓ§Γ£o de sua estratΓ©gia (visΓ£o, missΓ£o, e
planos estratΓ©gicos) pelos seus empregados. E depois os passos seguintes
foram, a construΓ§Γ£o de suas diferentes equipes em torno de seus
negΓ³cios reais, e o alinhamento das metas de cada um nas
equipes Γ estratΓ©gia do negΓ³cio.

o alinhamento das metas nΓ£o Γ© suficiente. Adicionalmente as empresas
tΓͺm que INSPIRAR O COMPROMETIMENTO DOS EMPREGADOS. Se as empresas
constroem, e desenvolvem a motivaΓ§Γ£o e a introspecΓ§Γ£o, os seus empregados
vΓ£o enfocar suas energias nas metas que realmente importam, e assim eles vΓ£o
trabalhar nas coisas certas.

Para
engajar as pessoas neste processo, temos que reconhecer que elas sΓ£o
essencialmente diferentes. Elas tem diferentes talentos, competΓͺncias,
especialidades e estilos. Primeiramente precisamos dar a a elas a
oportunidade de expressar as suas preocupaΓ§Γ΅es, reservas e expectativas,
assim elas vΓ£o se sentir realmente motivadas a oferecer as suas
contribuiΓ§Γ΅es e sugestΓ΅es.
