A Great Example of Social Responsibility and Cultural Inclusion


A couple of weeks ago, I visited the 12th Museums' Spring Exhibition at the Carlos Costa Pinto Museum in Salvador-Bahia, one of their Cultural Inclusion Programs. 

That inspirational art exhibition is a partnership between the museum and  APAE- Association of parents and friends of people with disability, UNIME, and CRE-TEA ( State reference center for people with autism spectrum disorder). 

The artworks were done by kids, teenagers, and young adults with special needs. They used ceramic tiles painted with bright colors and different shapes to represent Bahia's rich cultural diversity. Ceramic tile is a material used in local colonial architecture.
