Dealing with FEAR...



A simple def.inition of fear is: "An anxious feeling, caused by our anticipation of some imagined event or experience." 

First of all, fear is natural and instinctive. Feelings of fear come from our personal perceptions and expectations.

We can also say it is a natural sign of intelligence, because it has to do with our ability to imagine how we can deal with unexpected or unknown situations or circumstances.We all fear different things due to different reasons. However, most times we have choices on how we will deal with this often disconcerting feeling

In my opinion, fear really becomes an issue when we can't monitor it and find a good way to deal with it. After all, we are in control: no matter what challenges life gives us, we can wisely choose how to respond to them a different and new way! 

So how can we better deal with fear in our lives?
  
First, we need to think about the root causes of that fear and what we have learned from other situations.

Next, we should turn our thoughts into a POSITIVE and PRODUCTIVE mode. Our thoughts should be essentially JOYFUL.

We should hold our minds focused on the PRESENT, leaving behind memories of negative events and situations. From the past, the only important things to hold on to are the lessons we got from those previous situations.

Last but not least...regardless of what is happening, we should remember that we have many STRENGTHS that brought us here, and they will certainly help us to move forward, if only we are able to consciously identify and monitor our fears.
