Every Child Matters 🧡- Canada National Day for Truth and Reconciliation! ✨🇨🇦✨

I am in Toronto - Canada, and this morning my five years old grandson went to his school wearing a special orange T-shirt, to celebrate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, that is about the ongoing impact of Indian Residential Schools and reflect on what people can do to support reconciliation.

“The Indian Residential School system operated across Canada for well over 100 years, with the last schools closing in the 1990s. Indian Residential Schools were created to separate

Indogenoud children from their families and communities, and to systematically strip away their traditions, cultural practices and languages.”
