About VANITY...

“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” - Ernest Hemingway

We live in a world where many people want to achieve a desired “image” for feeling and looking good, trying to be superior to others.

Vanity should not be confused with pride or confidence. Pride or confidence is "I'm satisfied with who I am", when vanity is a view of superiority "I'm better than you”.

Vain people are very insecure. The ones who cross over to vanity, lose their self-awareness and accountability for who they are.

We can overcome the risk of crossing over to vanity, by simply being authentic, recognizing our strengths and areas for self-development and improvement.
