About Mistakes ...

"The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything." - Edward Phelps

SUCCESS is what we all expect, however, in our families, at school, or at work we’re taught to feel guilty about FAILURE, and to do whatever we can to avoid MISTAKES.

Everyday, in every moment, we make choices - some are good choices, and others are bad choices. We normally call MISTAKE a bad choice we made.

There is a thoughtful quote from Oscar Wilde that says - "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes."

The fear of failing when attempting difficult things explains why many people give up on their goals, because by challenging more our goal, there is a higher chance to commit mistakes. Therefore we need to develop our ability to overcome and learn from our mistakes. Wise people admit their mistakes easily. To learn from a mistake we need first to admit we’ve made it by honestly feeling and saying “ This was my mistake ”. By doing this the focus changes from BLAME to UNDERSTANDING.

"The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing."- Jerry Kopke
