Positive Attitude in Japan

Brazil is home to the largest Japanese population outside of Japan. The first Japanese immigrants arrived in Brazil in 1908. According to the IBGE there are over 1.5 million people of Japanese descent in Brazil, and most of them live in the states of São Paulo and Paraná.

We have all seen, with deep compassion and concern, the images of the most recent natural disaster in Japan. However, if we paid attention to how the Japanese population behaved during these difficult moments, we probably got some lessons from them. We saw the Japanese population united, demonstrating a high sense of solidarity, respect for each other, discipline and harmony, without loosing their sense of priority and problem solving ability.
.
I have friends in Japan and others who are Japanese descendants living here in Brazil, with whom I have worked with. My thoughts are with them and their families, wishing they can promptly recover from these difficult times.
