Quality Improvements Start with People

"Put your EMPLOYEES first, and they will put your CLIENTS first" .

Clauss Möller has added the HUMAN dimension to the concepts of quality performance. If we all agree that quality is a key element for increasing competitiveness in today's challenging and everchanging economy and business environment, we should also agree that it all starts and ends with PEOPLE , throught their ideas, attitudes, behaviours, ethical values and actions, materialized in their teamwork, communication, and in their work at the organization they belong to.

"In our experience, the greatest opportunities for performance improvement often lie in the functional interfaces—those points at which the baton is being passed from one department to another"
-Geary Rummler and Alan Brache

Rummler and Brache have developed the PIP ( Performance Improvent Project) methodology and tools, to help companies manage their "White Spaces", by analyzing their processes, and improving them after finding new solutions.

Their process improvement and management methodology starts with companies defining their "Critical Business Issues" that will drive, design and provide the case for change. They do not address only organizatinal redesign and process redesign, through what they call "IS"map analysis and "SHOULD"map analysis. They also look at the Human Performance Systems that affect process improvement as well.
